Lip filler
Maya looks at your lip shape at rest and in movement, then discusses how definition or volume could work with your features. If you already have filler, she’ll assess it before recommending a next step.

What to expect
Before treatment
Bring details of previous filler or dissolving treatments, even if they were years ago. Tell Maya about cold sores, medication, allergies and any previous reaction.
Planning your shape
You can discuss border definition, proportion, asymmetry or volume. The amount and placement are decided after assessment. Bruising, swelling, lumps, infection and uneven results are possible. A blocked blood vessel is rare and serious.
Recovery
Lip filler aftercare
Follow the personal instructions you receive. Contact the clinic if your recovery differs from what you were told to expect.
First 24 hours
Swelling and tenderness can start the same day. Keep the area clean, avoid touching or pressing your lips, and leave lip makeup off until at least the next day or as advised. Avoid strenuous exercise and intense heat for the first day.
Days 2 to 3
The lips may look more swollen or fuller on one side initially. Bruising can become more noticeable before fading. Swelling should begin to improve over the following days. Avoid massaging or trying to flatten a lump unless Maya specifically advises it.
Once swelling has settled
Allow roughly two weeks before assessing the shape. Contact the clinic if you have a persistent firm area, unevenness that remains after swelling settles, or cold-sore tingling or blisters.
