What to expect
Before you visit
We’ll send you consultation forms in advance. Bring a list of medicines and supplements, details of any allergies and information about previous treatments or reactions. Maya will go through your answers and any concerns with you.
How Maya assesses facial lines
Maya looks at your face at rest and during movements such as smiling, frowning or raising your brows. Tell her which lines you notice and when. This helps distinguish lines linked to facial expression from lines that are visible even when your face is relaxed.
Your options and next steps
Depending on what Maya finds, the discussion can include skincare and sun protection, other suitable options or leaving the area as it is. You can ask about expected changes, risks, recovery, follow-up and costs. If a prescription-only option is considered, an appropriate prescriber must assess your suitability separately. A consultation may end with advice alone.
Recovery
Aftercare after prescribed treatment
Follow the personal instructions you receive. Contact the clinic if your recovery differs from what you were told to expect.
If treatment is prescribed
Follow the patient leaflet and personal aftercare given by your prescriber and practitioner. Mild redness, tenderness or bruising can occur at injection sites. Avoid rubbing the area and ask when to resume exercise, skincare or facials.
Review
If an injectable treatment was given, follow the review timing agreed at the appointment, often around two weeks. Contact the clinic sooner if you notice a drooping eyelid or a change in facial movement that concerns you.
