Skin boosters
A consultation looks at your skin goals and whether an injectable hyaluronic-acid treatment such as Profhilo is suitable. Maya will explain what you can realistically expect from the product and course being considered.
The appointment
What to expect
Skin goals and suitability
Talk through dryness, texture, your skincare routine, any active rash or infection, and previous injectable treatments. Maya can explain how a skin booster differs from a dermal filler used to add shape or volume.
Planning a course
The number and spacing of sessions depends on the product and your assessment. Ask when to review any changes and how to allow for visible injection marks before a special occasion.
Recovery
Skin boosters aftercare
Follow the personal instructions you receive. Contact the clinic if your recovery differs from what you were told to expect.
First 24 hours
Small bumps, redness, tenderness or bruising can appear where the product was placed. Keep the area clean and avoid touching, massaging or using facial tools. Follow the instructions you receive about makeup and exercise.
Over the next few days
Early injection marks should improve. Contact the clinic if bumps or swelling worsen, return or last longer than the guidance given for your product.
Between sessions
Ask Maya when you can resume retinoids, acids or other facial treatments, and tell her about any symptoms before your next appointment.
