Skin treatments

Polynucleotides

Polynucleotides are injectable skin-quality treatments that may be considered for the face or under-eye area. Maya assesses the cause of your concern, including thin skin, puffiness, pigmentation and shadows, before recommending an option.

The appointment

What to expect

Before treatment

Tell Maya about allergies, previous under-eye treatments and recurring puffiness. Suitability depends on your health, anatomy and the product being considered.

How results develop

Skin-quality changes, if you see them, develop over weeks. Maya can explain whether a course makes sense and how she would assess your progress. Research is still developing and results vary.

Recovery

Polynucleotides aftercare

Follow the personal instructions you receive. Contact the clinic if your recovery differs from what you were told to expect.

First day

Small raised bumps at injection points, tenderness, puffiness and bruising can occur. Leave the area clean and avoid rubbing or massaging it. Ask when to restart eye makeup, skincare and exercise for your specific treatment.

First few days

Under-eye puffiness can be noticeable early on and should gradually improve. Call the clinic if swelling gets worse, returns after settling, or remains longer than you were advised to expect.

Later review

Allow several weeks before assessing skin-quality changes. If you develop a persistent or growing bump, arrange a review so Maya can assess it in person.
